Earlier this year, PHOCC paddlers proudly represented our club and Australia at the 2026 IVF Va'a World Sprint Championships in Singapore. Bringing together more than 3,000 paddlers from over 30 countries, the event showcased the very best in international outrigger paddling. 

Our members earned the opportunity to compete on the world stage after months of dedication, including countless training sessions, early mornings on the water, gym work and fundraising efforts. For many, simply standing on a World Championship start line was the culmination of years of commitment to the sport.

We competed across a range of V1, V6 and V12 events, both as club crews and in partnership with clubs from across Australia. The championships were a fantastic demonstration of the strength of the Australian outrigger community, with paddlers coming together to compete, support one another and represent the sport with pride.

Most importantly, our members returned home with unforgettable memories, valuable international racing experience and some outstanding results, including a World Championship title for our Golden Master Men's crew. It was a proud moment for our club 🛶🏆🌏
