About Port Hacking Outriggers!

For more than 30 years, Port Hacking Outriggers Canoe Club has been building a strong reputation within the paddling community, competing and succeeding at local, state, national, and international levels while maintaining a welcoming and supportive club culture.

Founded in 1994 with a single canoe and eight passionate paddlers, Port Hacking Outriggers has grown into a vibrant, multi-generational club that welcomes paddlers of all ages and experience levels. From juniors discovering the sport for the first time to seasoned athletes competing at an elite level, our members share a passion for paddling, personal growth, and being part of a strong club community. We’re lucky to have a crew of talented athletes, with members who’ve taken out gold at State, National and International regattas – whether it’s in one-man, two-man, or six-man races.

We offer some of the best coaching and development going around, but at the heart of it all, we believe sport should be enjoyable. It's an awesome way to stay active, meet great people, challenge yourself, and paddle in some of the most stunning waterways Australia has to offer. From the beautiful Port Hacking River and the waters off Cronulla, to Boat Harbour and the breathtaking surrounds of the Royal National Park, our paddlers are fortunate to train in an exceptional natural environment. The diverse conditions provide so much variety and experience, from calm flat-water paddling, ocean swell, sprint training, endurance training, and even the occasional bay surf, making every session a unique and rewarding experience.

While we are serious about competition, we're just as passionate about making paddling fun and accessible for everyone. Whether you're chasing medals or just keen to get fit, have a laugh and enjoy the water, we've got training programs to suit all levels and abilities. From complete beginners to experienced paddlers, everyone is welcomed and supported to achieve their own goals!

Every session will get your heart pumping and help build fitness, confidence and paddling skills, but there's always plenty of fun along the way. The friendships formed on the water are just as important as the results achieved, and many of our members will tell you it's the sense of community that keeps them coming back.

Thirty years of history. Countless sunrises and sunsets. One unstoppable club.
